Born out of a love for black music, Smokestack was designed as a venue with a strict music policy—celebrating everything from blues and jazz to funk, reggae, ska, and Latin rhythms. No house, no techno, just pure, authentic music for both ears.

Founded by Si, John Hope, and DJ Chico Malo, Smokestack quickly became the place in Leeds to experience the best live bands and DJ sets with a focus on the history of black music.

To this day, Smokestack is the NO.1 place to go for a seriously good night filled with funk, soul, and delightful drinks.
